What is Reiki?
The name Reiki is a blend of two Japanese words REI, which means divine wisdom or higher power, and KI which means cosmic life force. Therefore, advanced Reiki is a principle of life force.
Reiki is a manual healing method that originated in Japan and was founded by a Japanese Buddhist named Mikao Usui.
Reiki energy is the universe’s healing energy; it is transferred from student to client. A Reiki Master Teacher will empower a qualified Reiki practitioner with various rewards. This allows them to channel Reiki energy and heal others.
Founder of Reiki
Mikao Usui is a Japanese Buddhist. Born into a rather privileged background, he is well-educated and very intelligent. As far as we know, he has many interests, speaks many languages , and is well-versed in medicine, theology, and philosophy. He appears well-versed in other subjects, such as divination, Buddhist scriptures, and Christianity. He was extremely intrigued by meditation and spent a lot of effort pursuing his spiritual path. Eventually becoming a respected and erudite Buddhist Teacher, he had a rather rigorous mindset and was passionate about new science from the West. However, he mainly focuses on healing.
One day around 1920, Mikao Usui decided to begin intense meditation at Mount Kurama; we don’t know how long he stayed there, but some reports say about 21 days.
During this time, he experienced a spiritual awakening and formed a system of self-enlightenment known as Reiki. For about seven years, Mikao opened his house to many people and cured the disease as he perfected the system. He eventually passed on the knowledge to others by compensating.
How is Reiki different from other energy healing methods?
As mentioned earlier, Reiki is activated by a series of spells, activating one’s healing abilities by channeling cosmic energy through the practitioner, who also knows some special symbols in Japan to enhance various aspects of Reiki.
So while Reiki is a skill many people can learn and involves a certain amount of theory and science, it is essentially a technique passed from master to student. Therefore, finding the right teacher is extremely important for those who want to learn Reiki. Despite some advertisements for online courses, I don’t trust them!
Does Reiki work for everyone?
Yes! Reiki is always beneficial; it is a smart form of healing that will go where needed. As long as a suitably qualified doctor does the treatment, Reiki will have some effect on the client.
Skeptics will often hold them back, so they may need a few sessions to release the regular stuff holding them back.
Reiki through spirituality is not a religion. It has no dogma and nothing you need to believe in to benefit from Reiki. It is available to everyone.
What does a Reiki treatment include?
Reiki therapy is a wonderful, peaceful, and relaxing therapy for mind, body, and spirit; Reiki treats the person, including the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects. Many benefits it brings may vary from person to person but include relaxation, peace, tranquility, and happiness. Many people have reported miraculous results. It also works well with other medical and therapeutic techniques to ease the effects and help with recovery. Usually, clients use Reiki before or after surgery or chemotherapy.
The client will first have a brief conversation with the practitioner and then ask him to lie on a full mattress, usually in a quiet environment with soothing background music. Stretch and cover it with a blanket. The practitioner will then ask you to stay relaxed and close your eyes, and they may scan your body with your hands or use a pendulum to determine how your chakras are working. They will then explain the hand position to you, and that’s it!
The client will very quickly go into a state of deep relaxation; Everyone’s experience is different. You may see colors, have some psychic experience, feel temperature changes or tingling, or fall asleep. Go! All are normal.
At the end of your treatment, you will be gently brought back to the surface and given some water, the hypnotherapist will then discuss any findings or sensations, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions.
